Berlin - Potsdamer Platz | Christmas decorations light up the Potsdamer Platz shopping area in Germany's capital city. Rebuilt after German reunification in a section of Berlin where the Wall once stood, the Potsdamer Platz area is now a popular destination for all Berliners, especially when the Christmas market opens in December. The building in the background, the Haus Huth, is the only one that survived the war intact. It was remodeled as part of the Potsdamer Platz project that was completed in 1998. Photo © A.P. Goldmann
