Trier Dom - Trier Cathedral - interior

One of the many highlights of the interior of the Trier cathedral and its various architectural styles is this elaborate Baroque domed ceiling. The Roman Emperor Constantine began construction of this Christian church named for St. Peter in 326, the same year he began construction of another St. Peter’s — in Rome.
