The Goethe Haus after WWII

These photos displayed at the Goethe-Haus museum in Frankfurt show what the Goethe family’s former home looked like after Allied bombs destroyed much of the city during World War II. The building has since been carefully restored and is now a popular Frankfurt attraction.
