Old and new: The East Side Gallery stretches for 1.3 kilometers (0.8 mile) along Mühlenstraße. On the left, out of sight, is the Spree River. In the background we see the TV tower on Alexanderplatz. The Ostbahnhof (east train station) is just down the street on the right. (Photo: October 2007)
