Arrive in Germany ready to call

If you are traveling to Germany make sure you land prepared. Skip the high roaming rates you’re charged when you take your home cell phone overseas — with a local Germany SIM card. No hunting down a SIM card after you arrive, Telestial specializes in providing well-planned travelers with pre-paid SIM cards pre-departure. Telestial’s Germany SIM card provides you with an effective and low-cost method of making and receiving all your cell phone calls while in Germany.

Travelers are always charged excessive rates when roaming in other countries with their home cell phone and Germany is no exception. You can roam in Germany with U.S. GSM carriers T-Mobile and AT&T, Australian carriers Optus and Telestra and Canadian GSM operator Roger’s Wireless, but they each excel in overcharging you when calling home from Germany.

So what does all that mean? It shows that you can take your home phone with you, but only if you really need your existing number and don’t mind paying for it. Once aware of the high rates, travelers often opt for the smarter choice to leave their local mobile or cell phone at home and choose a Germany SIM card before travel. If you already own an unlocked tri-band or quad-band handset, all you need is your new Germany SIM card. Snap it into your handset and you’re ready to call! If you need a new handset for overseas, Telelstial has great deals on the Germany SIM card bundled with handsets, too.

Telestial International SIM Cards

Traveling beyond Germany?

A local SIM card with a local number may be the best option if you’re visiting Germany for an extended period, e.g. for study or work, however, if you’re travelling onwards to other European countries, then a Global SIM card from Telestial will be your best option.

The three International SIM cards below provide a UK mobile number (+44) which is often cheaper to call to from places like the US and Australia than it is to call an Estonian and Lichtenstein number – and much more user friendly!

For your travels across Europe (and many more countries), you’ll have free incoming calls with the Passport SIM, while the Passport Plus SIM provides some of the cheapest outbound calls of any Global SIM card on the market.
