Berlin 2000: This panoramic view shows the dramatic difference between the section that was renovated in June 2000 (on the right) and the remaining original section that was first created in 1990. A lack of funding meant that only about one-third of the East Side Gallery could look like it did back in 1990. The colorful heads on the right are by French artist Thierry Noir, a resident of Berlin. This photo was taken in August 2000.
