A view from the dome. Visitors to the terrace that surrounds the dome at the top of the Reichstag have wonderful views of Berlin’s central district (Mitte). We can see the Spree river (with two tour boats) and the Friedrichsstraße station at center left. When the Wall was standing, that S-Bahn station was the only one open to visitors from West Berlin. The many construction cranes indicate how much building activity there was in Germany’s new capital in 2000. More > Berlin City Guide
